We’re Tom and John, born and raised in Brooklyn, United States now living in Los Angeles. Millennial friends who are in the phase of avoiding adulthood whenever possible – chasing careers, pressure about life, managing bills.
We’ve made it as far as being friends, for 13 years (since 2010). Yes, over 13 years, and still best friends!!! And we will always be. We started our lives together early and we’ve felt like things were happening too fast, started careers at 21, left our home city, and lived away from our families just before we turned 20, then started a business at 21 – but we’re not settling (yet).
We’ve decided to slow things down, enjoy every moment, and focus on things that bring us true joy. Not ready to get stuck sitting at our desks for another 36 years before we can retire and live our dreams. NOW is the time to live the dream.
Travel. That’s what everyone wishes to do given there’s time and money. We’ve been very lucky to get 3 weeks’ vacation every year from our employers which allowed us to travel as much as we could in the past.
Even before we’re back at our desks to work for the remaining 49 weeks of a year, we’re already itching to fly to our next destination. I say it’s true that when you start seeing the world out there, you’ll catch a bug that makes you want to travel more.
After contemplating for so many years what to do next – here we are, took the courage to give up everything to chase what we want.
Follow us as we start our journey to see the world, 365 days or more, chase a few adventures, and write them in our books. The world is out there for us, our goal is to go to as many places as possible if this is what will push us to know ourselves, reach contentment by traveling, and then settle.
Our intention is to keep going and share our giggles while traveling! Come with us – we’re happy to share our stories!
